During the same evening walk by the sea as mentioned in my previous post, two items that had washed ashore provided rare moments of alignment with two considerably larger man-made objects on the coast.

First I spotted a spiky looking tree branch pointing skywards. Behind it in the distance, the conveyor at the closed Redcar blast furnace echoes the angle of the branch.

Later on I came across the famous three stripes of a lost Adidas training shoe echoing the three vertical bar shapes on the exterior face of Hartlepool nuclear power station.

Though these images aren’t clamouring to be framed and hung on a wall, I find these simple opportune alignments very satisfying.
