Well, here’s to 5 more years of pain for the marginalised, the vulnerable and the poor, but at least we will ‘Get Brexit Done’.
If you care to think about such things, there would be no Universal Credit in 2019 without the defeat of the miners in the winter of 1985.

Much has already been written, and will be written, about how turkeys voted for Christmas in the December 2019 General Election.
What? Angry? Me?
There will now be no green industrial revolution and no end to austerity. There are more cuts to local government and education on the way. Brexit is a false dawn. Boris Johnson will not legally commit to protecting the environment and employment rights in an agreement with the European Union. This new government will deregulate and privatize the shit out of what is left in the public sector.

Here’s to activists, volunteers, writers, photographers, campaigners, switched-on journalists and artists everywhere who keep the dream of a better world alive.
Put these on your Christmas list
No Redemption: Keith Pattison and David Peace
