I have been enjoying using a Nikon 1 V1 lately, a 7 year old digital camera, for the purpose of a retrospective review for an online magazine.

I have noted that other users of this beautiful camera say it produces excellent monochrome images. I cannot argue with their opinion. I do wonder if it is something to do with its relatively low pixel resolution of 10MP.

  1. Love the McCoy’s shot!
I must have been 47 mins behind you, I also found the deceased seabird.

    1. Thanks Colin. I was down there yesterday too. I had the beach to myself. It was overcast with light on the horizon. I exposed a roll with the Yashica. I was using a red filter again, so I had to calculate the exposure time. I will know tomorrow when I develop the film how I made out.
